Hunting

Deer, black bear and grouse hunting around Lake Gogebic is excellent in the fall months, as well as for other types of small game, waterfowl, and furbearers.  With thousands of acres available for hunters to explore, and thanks to the excellent programs that the Michigan DNR has instituted, it's one of the best places on Earth to find that trophy you've been searching for.  And the forests of the Upper Peninsula are never more beautiful than in autumn: the morning air is crisp, and the leaves brilliant red, orange, and gold.  It's a true hunter's paradise!

There are plenty of local businesses that carry guns, ammunition, and supplies, as well as bow-hunting gear.  And you'll never find a community more supportive of hunting - in fact, hunting's so big up here that the local schools close for opening day of deer season!

All hunters are required to hold a valid State of Michigan hunting license and obey all fish and game regulations.  Please contact us for details.
